Regional networking meetings
Network coordinators from localities across the region are meeting together, in order to share information and best practice and identify gaps where additional work may be needed.

Sub-regional networking meetings
VCS representatives on Children’s Trusts and other key VCS stakeholders from localities are meeting together in the four sub-regions to again share practice and learning.

Black and Minority Ethnic VCS
Working with the Regional Forum and BME panel, work is ongoing to identify the issues relevant for the BME VCS in relation to the children’s and youth agenda.

Additional support
As in other regions, focused support is going to three areas, where Local Authorities will complete a Self Evaluation Tool (SET) to establish how effective their engagement with the VCS is, in order to develop an action plan for development. The areas involved are:

  • Calderdale
  • Wakefield
  • North Yorkshire
